Gold, Silver, Bronze, Personal Bests and Championship Records were the order of the weekend (Sat 12-Feb & Sun 13-Feb) for the Clare River Harriers athletes who competed in the County Indoor Championships which took place at the International Arena in Athlone.

51 Juvenile Athletes represented the Clare River Harriers Athletics Club with pride – running, jumping, throwing and walking.

The club took home 3 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze medals.

Elizabeth Healy took gold in both the 60 and 200m; coupled with this she set a Championship Record in the 60m.

Eoin Higgins took gold in the Shot Put and Silver in the High Jump.

The Under 14 boys relay team took silver – Kyle Fitzgerald, Eoin Higgins, Cathal Grace, Liam Connolly and Dara Lenihan.

Isla Day took Bronze in 60m, Maeve Meehan bronze in the 1km Walk and Gordon Lenihan took Bronze in the Shot Put.

Couch-to-5K sessions in Claregalway for January, February & March 2019.

- a new couch-to-5k series will commence in January 2019, each session leaves the Claregalway Community Center every Wednesday at 7pm sharp.

- each participant will required to register (total cost €20) with Clare River Harriers A.C and Athletics Ireland.

Sessions 1 on 23-Jan: Distance 3k. Multiple repeats of a 90 second jog followed by a 30 second walk.

Session 2 on 30-Jan: Distance 4k. Multiple repeats of a 2 minute jog followed by a 30 second walk.

Session 3 on 06-Feb: Distance 4.5K. Multiple repeats of a 2 minute jog followed by a 30 second walk.

Session 4 on 13-Feb: Distance 5K. Multiple repeats of a 2 minute jog followed by a 30 second walk.

Session 5 on 20-Feb: Distance 5K. Multiple repeats of a 3 minute jog followed by a 30 second walk.

Session 6 on 27-Feb: Distance 5K. Multiple repeats of a 4 minute jog followed by a 30 second walk.

Session 7 on 06-Mar: Distance 5K. Multiple repeats of a 5 minute jog followed by a 30 second walk.

Session 8 on 13-Mar: Distance 5K. Multiple repeats of a 1K jog followed by a 30 second walk.

Session 9 on 20-Mar: Distance 5K. Multiple repeats of a 1.5K jog followed by a 30 second walk.

Session 10 on 27-Mar: Distance 5K. Multiple repeats of a 2K jog followed by a 30 second walk.

Goal: Run the Claregalway 5k non-stop on Tuesday 02-April at 7pm.

2. Next Claregalway 10K (raising funds for Galway Hospice) - Sat 24-Aug-2019 at 6pm.
3. Start a new set of Couch-to-5K sessions in mid-January.
4. Host the annual CRH dinner in the Arches hotel on Friday 18-Jan-2019.
